SMEs and Large Enterprises Encouraged to Apply for ConstructPLUS Grants by May 8

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as large enterprises have until May 8 to apply for grants under the ConstructPLUS programme for establishing and/or developing production facilities for construction materials. The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEAT) announced this opportunity in a recent social media post.

Registrations for the #ConstructPLUS programme are now open. SMEs and large enterprises can submit their applications until May 8 to receive grants for the mentioned purposes. Financial statements from 2020 to 2022 will be considered during the evaluation of financing agreements and attached documentation. Newly financed enterprises, as defined in Article 3 (19) of OUG 68/2023, are exempt from the obligation to disclose financial statements.

Grants provided by the programme are limited to RON 50 million euros, not surpassing 75% of the total eligible costs of the investment project or the intensity specified in the regional aid map authorized by the European Commission. The budget allocated for the ConstructPlus programme this year amounts to EUR 149 million converted to lei (RON).

Interested applicants should submit their financing agreement applications along with the required documents to the MEAT Registry. The envelope must be marked with the following: Directorate of Industrial Policies and Financing for Industry – O.U.G. nr. 68/2023.
